Category: pre wedding shoot

It's been quiet on this blog lately - with good reason - things are crazy busy on the portrait side for me at the moment. But, you will see lots more activity here in the upcoming months with E sessions ( E stands for engagement) and some fab weddings!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Kerry Declan for the first time. Although their wedding is not until next year, we thought it would be good to break the ice early on, and I think it was a great decision. The weather wasn't the greatest I must say, but we made the most of the cloudy sky and the nice soft light, with the occasional ray of sunshine. Declan Kerry are a really chilled out and relaxed couple, and really good to photograph as they were so at ease with each other. Here are my favorites from today. In case you are wondering - the last image is Zippy - and he is famous! Where Kerry goes, Zippy goes. I thought I would put him to good use for a funky ring shot , alongside the more standard offering. Isn't it cool how the blue in the ring matches his eyes? Declan had the ring made especially for Kerry.

Had a great day today, tiring but fun - shooting J + N in London today. They were so relaxed about the whole shoot, it was a pleasure to work with them. Guys - I hope you enjoyed it too, and I look forward to seeing you at the wedding. Here is a taster from today, more to come next week! And thanks for lunch :)

So, for anyone reading this thinking "what on earth is an E session?", and why would I have it?

The anwser is that it is simply an informal pre wedding shoot where I get to know my couples a little more, and we get some rapport going, so when I come and shoot your wedding day, you will feel a lot more comfortable with me. In fact this is exactly how I approach E sessions - I ask you to treat me as if we are old friends, out and about messing around with the camera, and I might just boss you around a little! Normally this really benefits the male counterpart especially as most boys seem to be a bit camera shy...
