Category: destination weddings

The next day was the Big Day. The actual wedding took place on the beautiful island of Jehunuhura. The boat took the bride and groom across separately and I accompanied each of them on their journeys. After the ceremony we moved to the Veli cafe for the meal, and finished off in the Nashaa nightclub for the evening bit. It was great day , and the table setting at the Veli cafe was stunning - so romantic! Here are some highlights - enjoy.

Alan checking himself out...and no he hasn't been speared!

I'm getting married - woo hooo!

I would LOVE to know what they were talking about!

Best man Horror being a horror!

Loved the table setting...

and this is where the wine kicks in...Cassie & Paul getting fruity ( and yes I did ask if i can "blog the snog"!), Alan and Jen "eating cake" the hardcore way, Jen & mum having a moment, Nana caught nicking the cake...oh well just a usual wedding!

and off to do some boogying at the Nashaa...

PART 1 - Arrival & boat cruise

This is going to be one long post! In fact I will probably separate it into several post since I have so many images  that I would like you too see. It was an honour to photograph Jen & Al's wedding , at the beautiful resort of Kanuhura in the Maldives. I also accompanied them on a boat cruise the night before, and we had a fantastic "day after"session too.

Ok, so after feeling rather beat after an 11 hour flight, these are the views I was greeted with from the seaplane....more than made up for the tiredness!

A welcoming smile from the Bride- to- be with Alan in the backgroud!

The next day, after spending the day settling in with Wayne & Izzy ( my hubby and daughter), we were invited to come along on a boat cruise. It was lovely, and the whole wedding party gathered for an informal drink and a spot of dolphin watching.  I thought it would be a great opportunity to test drive all my gear, so took my camera along. Glad that I did - I learned that in hot climates lenses steam up very quickly. At leats it prepared me for the wedding day!

and one of my faves...( yes I obviously have a warped mind)
